So excited to be working at my first awards show! Jenny J is a regular when it comes to being a staff member for these events, so I of course jumped at the chance to join her. Maybe I would get a chance to see Rick Forrester!

I secretly watch Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) when I can pull myself away from my computer long enough to have a lunch break. I blame my friend Amber and her Grandma for getting me into watching soaps after college. We started with Young and the Restless (Y&R), but I move to B&B because it was only a half hour.

What’s even more fun about this experience is that Jenny J’s twins were cast on B&B as baby Douglas Forrester, so she knew some of the cast members as we trolled the red carpet. We saw Caroline, Thomas, Rick, Dollar Bill Spencer, Katie, Aly (I thought she was dead!), Nicole, Zende, Maya, Julius (he won!), Vivienne and the infamous Brooke Logan. Unfortunately, the love triangle of Steffy, Wyatt and Liam were nowhere to be found.

I was assigned the press room, so I got a chance to meet all of the winners. The Talk cast was so sweet! After the award portion of the evening was over the staff was invited to join the rest of the audience for dinner. Cue the champagne! We enjoyed an awesome meal, and it was so fun being a part of the audience for this show. Jenny J was on the hunt for Chris Harrison and I was on the hunt for Jacob Young (Rick Forrester). Now that we were off the clock it was fair game to introduce ourselves and get photos! Chris was nowhere to be found, but as we were leaving I spotted Jacob in his adorable polka dot bow tie. Congrats on the nomination Jacob, and thanks for being so sweet!
