Day 8: Ice Cream Flights

Today I decided to check out some fun shopping areas: Melrose and Larchmont Village.

On Melrose I found a super fun t-shirt shop called Eye Candy, and I ran into a pug shopping for comic books.

Larchmont Village had some great shops like Pickett Fences. I snagged cute little gifts for two of my friends that are getting married this year (that would be you Brittany and Jeni!). I also met Paris the pug, who at only 9 years old looked more senior than my Miles! She was adorable.

But enough about shopping, let’s talk about ice cream. I was just saying the other day about how much I love flights. I love the idea of trying little bites of lots of different versions of things. Before today my favorite flights were of guacamole and margaritas (thank you Momocho). Today I must say my favorite flight of all time is ice cream…specifically Salt & Straw ice cream. I ordered the following: Petunia’s Coconut Mint Chip Whoopie Pie,  Salted, Malted, Chocolate Chip Cookie DoughStumptown Coffee & Compartes Love Nuts and Honey Lavender. I had a hard time deciding so she gave me a 5th scoop on the house in which I chose Chocolate Gooey Brownie. OMG it was amazing. Dare I say as good as Mitchell’s. I’ll probably be back there tomorrow.
