If you can dream it, you can do it. –Walt Disney
I found out that my friend Eric (my calming force when my first love got engaged, when I decided to get divorced and when my boss made me cry) and his family were going to to Disneyland, so I asked if I could join the party. It had been three years since I had seen his adorable kids and amazing wife, so I was really excited to spend the day with them today.
Generally speaking I think kids are pretty cool, but man, I love Eric’s kids. After about 90 seconds they started to hold my hand and announce that they were going to sit next to me on the next ride. I mean, how great is that?! Way to make a girl feel good! My heart melted, just like a Disney Princess.
Update: a little conversation between Eric and his son a few days after our Disneyland trip.
Cutest, sweetest 5-year-old on the planet: Daddy…is Miss Michelle coming over tonight?
Eric: Not tonight bug….
Cutest, sweetest 5-year-old on the planet: Will she meet us at Disneyland next time? Does she live there?
Eric: Maybe sometime she will be back.
Cutest, sweetest 5-year-old on the planet: Is Miss Michelle real?
Eric: As real as they are, bug.
