Day 25: Just Like Heaven

Keith and I hit Sunset Boulevard this afternoon, with In-N-Out Burger being the first stop on the list. I couldn’t decide if I wanted the dine in or have drive thru experience (neither of us had been there before), so we did both! We got our burgers and fries inside, then snagged a chocolate shake afterwards using the drive thru. Personally I liked the drive thru experience better, but the cheese fries would have been a bit messy in the convertible.

After lunch we headed down the street to Amoeba Records and Meltdown to check out some music and comics. Keith scooped up some comic books, but he said Amoeba was a little too overwhelming.

Later we met up with Jenny J and Joe and headed over the Hollywood Bowl for The Cure concert. My friend Jenna mentioned back in January that the band was coming to LA, and that just happened to be right around the time I was trying to decide when to come back to LA for a visit. They are one of my favorite bands, and for as many concerts I have gone to I have never seen them live. I thought this was the perfect reason to return to Cali!

Keith and I got some picnic supplies at Trader Joe’s so we could all relax a bit in Highland Camrose Park before the show. Unfortunately we missed the opening act, but we still enjoyed three hours of great music. I’m so glad I got the opportunity to see The Cure at this amazing concert venue. I will definitely be back!

Hilariously the security team made Jenny J dump out her water, but they didn't find our wine bottles :)
